Getting started
Quickstart
Connect a wallet, approve once, and place your first order.
This walks through one order from an empty wallet to a fill. It takes a couple of minutes, most of it spent waiting for the batch to clear.
#Open the app
Go to the app. The header shows the market’s pair and a cluster indicator. A green dot means the app’s Solana RPC and Chord’s collector agree on which chain they’re on. If they don’t, the app shows why and won’t ask you to sign anything.
#Connect a wallet
Choose Connect wallet and pick your wallet from the list. The app finds browser wallets through Wallet Standard, so Phantom, Solflare, Backpack and other compatible wallets appear on their own.
#Have the token you’re selling
You need the token you’re selling in your wallet, plus a little SOL for transaction fees. The ticket shows your balance next to You pay, and Max fills it in.
#Fill in the ticket
Pick Buy or Sell, enter what you pay, and set a limit price. The chips under the limit set it relative to the last clearing price: Last puts it right at that price, and the percentage chips give the batch a little room. The ticket shows the minimum you’ll receive at your limit, and what you’d get if the batch cleared at the last price.
#Place the order
Press the button and follow your wallet. The ticket walks through up to three steps:
- Allow. If your current allowance can’t cover this order and your other open orders, the app asks you to approve the settlement account for exactly that amount. This is a transaction with a normal network fee.
- Wait for finality. The collector only reads finalized chain state, so the app waits until the new allowance is final, usually about 13 seconds.
- Sign. You sign the order itself. This is a message signature: free, and it moves nothing.
When the ticket says Held, your order is in the batch.
#Watch it clear
Your order appears on the stage as a white string marked You. When the collection window closes, solvers quote. When the winning quote commits, the bridge drops to the clearing price, and strings that reach past it fill. The result shows in the ticket and in Your orders, with the amount you received and the price.
#If something goes wrong
- You declined in the wallet. Nothing was sent. Press the button again.
- The window closed while you were signing. Sign again; the app targets the next batch.
- Not filled. The batch cleared outside your limit. Your tokens never left your wallet. Use Place again to sign the same order for a later batch, perhaps with a wider limit.
